Got this little package of complimentary mints on a return flight from Australia.  Small and about the size of my thumb.  The actual mints were pea sized.  I eat most of them during this painting.  A bit hard on the teeth.

Shell Mode 2

This shell is only about eight inches in length and has many interesting facets.  When I did my first painting of this shell it was quite a bit to chew on in trying to capture all of its nuances.  This time around I was a little more comfortable and things did seemed to flow more easily.

This painting was a little sketchy but I like the final result.  I could go back into it and spend several hours tweaking it but I kinda of like the loose quality this one has.
