I've been wanting to do this one for a while now. This boat house is in Florida and the sun setting behind it just struck me. I stayed really loose and just dabbed the colors into the piece.
This sake setup had a lot of dynamics going. Being glazed on the upper two thirds of the bottle and also ribbed to some point made for an interesting session.
This one took some time coming together but I like the overall feel. I'm still wrestling with the oil medium a bit given how long it has been since I picked up a brush.
My wife was given this tea pot from a client of hers. All ceramic and interesting in the fact that it is entirely hand sculpted. Funny thing is that it is not functional. Just a beautifully sculpted art piece.
I have always loved working in acrylic paint due to its quick drying properties. But I also love the challenge of oil painting. It is very demanding but rewarding. I like how this one turned out.
